Mozart's Sister, Antoine93 and Ferenc Stenton
Wednesday, November 12, 2014
The project of Montreal songstress Caila Thompson-Hannant, Mozart’s Sister crafts serious pop jams with her trademark powerful voice and deep grooves. Listen to “Single Status” to hear why she’s considered Montreal’s favourite diva. Mixed in with the sassy, riveting confidence of defining groups like TLC and Salt-N-Pepa, Mozart’s Sister is also both influenced by and a part of the groundbreaking modern Montreal electronic music scene, characterized with the same vigor and charisma as such female contemporaries she’s shared the stage with, Grimes and tUnE-yArDs.
Antoine Lahaie makes electronic dance pop as [Antoine93] from his homebase in Montreal. http://antoine93.bandcamp.com/
Toronto based Techno producer Ferenc Stenton (formerly known as Live Action Fezz) offers his own take on Minimal production with a focus on live takes with analog synthesizers. Influenced by producers Martyn, Cosmin TRG, and Jimmy Edgar, Stenton's work is complex and dark, with a focus on dissociative links between rhythmic and tonal elements. https://soundcloud.com/search?q=ferenc+stenton
