2010 Guelph Jazz Festival Art Auction
Sunday, April 25, 2010
GUELPH – The upcoming Guelph Jazz Art Auction will feature 40 works by some of the best-known artists of the region. New to the auction this year: a curated collection by art consultant Renann Isaacs (formerly of the Alma Gallery and Toronto’s Isaacs Gallery) featuring stunning works by emerging, mid-career and established artists who are locally, nationally and internationally recognized. Notable artists who have donated works include Will Gorlitz, Stu Oxley and Cheryl Ruddock. Also new is a Silent Auction with a selection of some of the finest crafts from the area and beyond.
The auction artwork can now be viewed on-line at www.guelphjazzfestival.com or in person at the two locations of the Red Brick Café, 8 Douglas St. and 77 Westmount Road, until Apr. 24, 2010.
A $50 auction ticket includes two drinks and many delectable nibbles. Bidding on a piece of art by a favourite artist, and actually getting it is exciting enough, but knowing you are supporting the Guelph Jazz Festival by doing so makes it all the more enjoyable.
The Jazz Art Auction is presented by Sorbara Law. We also acknowledge support from the following generous sponsors: The Bookshelf, Inbox Marketing, Wellington Brewery, Renann Isaacs, Catch-23, Barber Gallery.
