WATERLOO, ON - Laurier capitalized twice in the first before the game was 6 minutes old but they could not solve the Gryphon Goaltending duo of Sarah Long (Toronto, ON)and Aleisha Lusk (Mitchell, ON) the rest of the way. Both tenders made some timely saves to keep Guelph in the game, Long made 14 saves on 16 shots while Lusk shut out Laurier in her third period performance that included a momentum turning left pad save on a cross crease pass that left the Laurier attacker stifled.

Shortly after Lusk's big save Laura Mills (Guelph, ON) got Guelph on the board after her linemates Carrie Tokarcyzk (St. Thomas) and Becky Simpson (Corbyville, ON) recovered a dump in after some strong forechecking. Guelph then tied it up late in the third while on the power play. Elysia Desmier scored her third goal in three games after the Laurier defence could not contain her in front of the net. Desmier put home the rebound from Arden
Sullivan's (London, ON) shot after she was fed a pass from Nicole Latreille
(Ottawa, ON).

Up next for the Gryphon's is a rematch with Brock on Sunday September 25th at the Gryphon Center. Game time is 2 PM
