Guelph picks up a big win over Queens 5-2

The line of Arden Sullivan (London, ON), Nicole Latreille (Nepean, ON) and Carrie Tokarcyzk (St. Thomas, ON) led the way with three goals, and a combined seven points in Guelph’s 5-2 victory over Queens. Sullivan had a pair of markers and a single went to Tokarcyzk. Picking up her 8th win of the season was Aleisha Lusk (Mitchell, ON) who stopped 39 of 41 shots. Picking up the other goals for the Gryphons was Elaine Dumas (Waterloo, ON) and Elysia Desmier (Ottawa, ON). Guelph was 2 for 7 on the powerplay, and killed off 9 of 10 shorthanded situations. With the win, Guelph now is tied for third in the OUA with 22 points.

Up next for the Gryphons are three important games to finish the regular season. Guelph’s final home game is on February 16th vs. Waterloo. Game time is 7:30pm at the Gryphon Centre. The next night Guelph travels to Toronto to play the Varsity Blues. Game time is 7:30pm at Varsity Arena. Then on Sunday February 19th Guelph travels to York to play the Lions. Game time is 2:00pm at the Ice Gardens.
