Gryphons Win 4-1 Over HK Kings of Sweden

Guelph returned to the ice after their exam and Christmas Holiday break to
play the HK Kings from Kungsbacka Sweden. Meghan Howat (Toronto, ON) lead
off the scoring for the Gryphs and Arden Sullivan (London, ON) picked up the
game winner. Elaine Dumas (Waterloo, ON) and Carrie Tokarcyzk (ST. Thomas)
scored the other goals for Guelph while the lone goal for the HK Kings came
from Alexandra Johansson (Varberg, Sweden). In nets for the Gryphons was
Sarah Long (Toronto, ON) making 12 saves and in nets for the Kings was Hanna
Rutstrom (Gothenburg, Sweden who made 21 saves.

Johansson was picked as player of the game for the Kings while Jodi
MacFarlane (London, ON) was chosen for the Gryphons.

Up next for the Gryphons the inaugural New Year's Guelph Invitational.
Guelph will start off with a rematch against the # 5 ranked St. F.X. X-Women
next Tuesday January 3rd 2006. Game time is 7:30 PM. All games are played at
the Gryphon Center Gold Arena.
