You, the students have spoken!

Each year, the Globe and Mail newspaper releases a University Report Card.Students complete a survey rating their school, which are then averaged into letter grades in a number of categories

Well, the results are in and you should be proud to be a Gryphon . The University of Guelph is at the  top of the class!

We were the only school to receive an "A+"  grade for student satisfaction. We also received top marks in:

  • Overall Education
  • Campus Atmosphere
  • Environmental Commitment
  • Teaching
  • Course availability
  • Student services
  • Food services
  • Buildings and facilities, and
  • Campus technology

For thr full report card on the Univesity of Guelph click here. I think you'll be quite pleased to see how we compare to other universities in Canada.

As your Central Student Association's Academic Commissioner, I am proud to have contributed to a four-page article on how the University of Guelph is trying to rethink our undergraduate education. It is an insightful article, with contributions from the CSA Communications Commissioner and several other university members. I encourage students to get involved in a curriculum reform process being undertaken with help from the CSA. If you are interested in getting involved please !

It is a part of our culture to express humility when given praise... but I think a little self-recognition is in order. When students work to better themselves, they also have an effect on their campus. We should all be proud to be engaged community members at the University of Guelph while we're contributing to our personal, professional and scholarly development.

You've spoken - and I agree - that this is one of the best places to be educated at in Canada!
