As many students may know, the late night bus service with Guelph Transit began this past Sunday. Students are asked to respect drivers on the buses, and to remember that there are now security cameras on the buses to protect drivers and students.
The CSA would also like to thank, on behalf of all students, Denny’s Bus Lines for their hard work and dedication with the Magic Bus Service that they have been providing for over a year since the late night bus service with Guelph Transit was halted. Denny’s was very cooperative, accommodating, and friendly to students. For this, the CSA and we assume all students, are very thankful.
Students can find information on the late night bus service routes by visiting the CSA website and questions, comments and concerns can be emailed to .
City of Guelph Strategic Planning
The city of Guelph’s blueprint for the future of their strategic plan is currently being updated. This strategic plan will help focus objectives and serve as a framework against which performance can be measured and tracked. The strategic plan is created with input a wide range of individuals and groups from across City. To that end, the city would like to hear from University of Guelph students since we represent a significant part of the community.
The CSA will be sending out a mass email asking students to consider the following questions:
1. What are the things that you like most about Guelph?
2. What are the things that you like least about Guelph?
3. What would you say are the top three issues facing Guelph today?
4. If you could do only three things to make Guelph a better place to live, work and play what would those things be?
5. If it were up to you, what would Guelph be like 20 years from today?
6. Do you have any other comments to share about Guelph's future?
Students are asked to respond to these questions, by emailing and it would be appreciated if we got all responses in by March 12th. The student responses will be used to create the new Guelph Community Strategic Plan. For more information on this initiative or to find out how you can get involved in a volunteer capacity please visit the city’s website.
Students can also contact the City directly at (519) 824-4120 ext. 2965 or by emailing .
