The University held a BBQ fundraiser today to jump start the 2010 United Way Campaign.  Volunteers came out to serve hotdogs and corn while local musicians The Kramden's entertained the crowd.

Last year the University of Guelph raised over $500,000 for the United Way.  President Alastair Summerlee has said in a youtube video that "We're intending to raise just as much, if not more, this year."

The goal for all of Guelph and Wellington County has been set at $2.7 million, $50,000 more than 2009.

The next University sponsored event is a Garage Sale, which will be held Thursday September 30th from 9am-2pm in the University Centre Courtyard.
