On Thursday, the CSA Food Bank commemorated Hunger Awareness Week with an Open House at their new Biology House location. The event also serves a belated opening ceremony for the new Food Bank location which moved from its original home on the second floor of the University Centre in August. "We’re holding this to celebrate the new space, get the word out and say thank you to the volunteers,” said Food Bank Coordinator Sarah Ferber.

The Open House was held between 12 and 6 and everyone was invited to have a look around the new digs, grab a bite and hang out with Food Bank staff and supporters. According to Ferber, about three dozen people had visited Biology House in the first two hours of the Open House, including CSA exec members Chris Killer, Becky Wallace and John Combs.

The CSA Food Bank is open every weekday afternoon and supplies groceries, toiletries and other supplies to those in need.
