Written by Arden Hagedorn (CSA) and Scott Gilbert

The federal election campaign is now in full swing here in Guelph.

Yesterday at 2pm is when the nomination process closed, and candidates had until 5pm yesterday to withdraw. Now that the final tally is in, Guelph officially has 10 candidates running - a broad selection of views that will surely make the All Candidates Forums rowdy.

Voting day is Tuesday, October 14, 2008 so be sure to follow thecannon.ca over the coming weeks for more in-depth coverage.

We are going to provide every candidate with the opportunity to have their voice be heard through our website so check back regularly for updates.

If you have any burning questions that you would like to have answered, please feel free to post them in the comments section below. We ask that you only pose questions that can be addressed to all candidates.
