Voters elected six new representatives to the Central Student Association Board of Directors, but failed to reached quorum on a seventh.

Students from four different colleges cast ballots by email during last week's CSA Bi-Elections.

The College of Biological Science (CBS) and the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences (CSAHS) each had three candidates vying for two seats on the Board.

CSAHS students Carissa Mar and Zamir Merali were elected to represent their college on the CSA Board, while Lisa Parker and Amy Bronson were elected to serve as CSAHS representatives.

Students with the College of Physical and Engineering Sciences chose Kevin Lees and Douglas Murray to fill two vacant CPES seats. They ran unopposed.

Only one candidate stepped forward to run for one of two vacant seats on the College of Management and Economics.

In an up-or-down vote, 73 per cent of CME students voted to elect Craig to one of the vacant seats.

However, turnout did not reach quorum 10 per cent of eligible voters, so the results cannot be ratified.

In a press release, CSA Communications and Corporate Affairs Commissioner Demetria Jackson said that Craig could still serve on the Board if he petitioned his College's government to appoint him to the vacant seat

CSA Bylaws allow at-large seats to be filled by appointment if a bi-election fails to produce a successful candidate.

Six additional seats, including one on the CME, two on the College of Arts, two on the Ontario Veterinary College and one on the Ontario Agriculture College, remain unfilled due to lack of candidates.
