Michelle Moody, Gryphon Track and Field

At this weekend's Can-Am Classic in Windsor Michelle proved that she is ready to take the step up to the top of the CIS podium after last year's silver medal. She defeated a former two time CIS champion en route to a 1.75 m jump, the number one performance in Canada. Michelle was also 3rd in the long jump, an event in which she is currently ranked 2nd in the country.

Guyson Kuruneri, Gryphon Track and Field

Leading the way for the Gryphons, at this past weekend's, Can-Am Classic in Windsor was Gryphon rookie Guyson Kuruneri (Guelph, Ontario). Kuruneri captured the men's long jump in 7.05 metres, good for #3 in the national rankings and in the process defeating a glut of former CIS champions, medalists and Canadian national team members. Guyson posted an extremely consistent series of jumps, landing all six attempts from 6.96-7.05.
