This week on the Press Conference...
Friday, March 5, 2010
The Press Conference is a weekly current events show coordinated by media outlets at the University of Guelph. The show broadcasts every Friday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on CFRU93.3 FM.
During the show, members of the “Press Core” spend their time interviewing guests, debating the issues and playing a couple of good tunes to round it all out.
Upcoming Show - Friday March 5
Hosted By Greg Beneteau
The Guelph Wellington Taskforce for Poverty Elimination released its first report this week. We speak to committee member and CSA Local Affairs Commissioner Galen Fick about their blueprint for tackling a serious problem in the city.
The proverbial devil is in the details for the Guelph Sikh Society, whose proposal to build a place of worship in the south end is being met with fierce and occasionally racially-charged opposition from local residents. We’ll look into the issue.
Doctor Ernesto Guzman, a Professor at the University of Guelph, offers his assessment on why bee colonies in Ontario have been dying off in alarming numbers.
